Custom Color & Finishes

When it comes to custom color and finishes, Diamond Windows is able to match most color or finish requests. At Diamond, we can accommodate a variety of aluminum finishes. We keep a stock of commonly used colors, such as black and bronze, but if you do not see your preferred color listed, contact our commercial sales team and we will match your custom color swatch to meet your project requirements. Our Polycron and Kynar finishes are capable of matching almost any color. Exotic and non-stock color options are subject to an additional set up fee.

Finishes

Polycron/Baked Enamel (AAMA 2603)

While this finish’s hardness is ideal, the Polycron/Baked Enamel finish is the most sensitive towards weathering effects. This finish can be touched up relatively easily if needed. This option includes a 5 year paint and finish warranty.

50% Kynar (AAMA 2604)

The 50% Kynar finish provides a better level of weather resistance while providing a good level of hardness. Generally this option is balanced between good overall resistance, color retention and is more cost effective compared to 70% Kynar. This option includes a 10 year paint and finish warranty.

70% Kynar (AAMA 2605)

The 70% Kynar provides the longest-lasting color fastness and retention. However, the nature of the finish makes it more sensitive to scratches. This is the most expensive option and is available in either 2 coat or 3 coat. This option includes a 15 year paint and finish warranty.

Anodized (Class 1)

The surface of the extrusion goes through an electrolytic process converting it to aluminum oxide. This process makes the coating an integral part of the extrusion. As a result, the surface will not chip, peel, or flake over time. It’s the strongest commercial aluminum window finish possible; however, since the finish is an integral part of the material, any touch-up work is challenging. Our stocked colors are bronze and clear anodized. Custom colors are subject to an additional set up fee.
